Catskill Mountain Series Launches New Website


The Catskill Mountain Series recently crossed the halfway point of their 2008/2009 season. After a flurry of February events, that culminated with the Red Bull Snowscrapers competition in NYC, the series is now focused on their few remaining events and bringing their season to a close. A major focal point this year has been the launch of their new website Through this platform they have been successful at promoting and extending their brand and building stronger relationships with their athletes.

The website, which launched in December, has already received 4,000+ unique visitors, a significant milestone for a website of this size. The main audience for the site is athletes, who use the site to read industry news, download competition results, review photos and watch video highlights. With their sites set on a broader reach, the series plans to grow the website in stages, with the goal of transitioning from a regional outlet to a national outlet.

Recently some of the news stories the Catskill Mountain Series has created were syndicated on a national level through the USASA (United States of America Snowboarding Association) website. Hopeful that this is a sign for things to come, the series plans on bringing more lifestyle content into the mix such as reviews of music and concerts, interviews with pro athletes and product reviews from the industry.
